Matariki
One Hot,Sunny morning it was Monday and I was excited because it was MATARIKI WEEK.We made a Kite and here are the instructions to make the kite.
Instructions
- Get a shape of a kite
- Get a newspaper
- Trace around the shape of the kite on the newspaper with a pencil
- Cut the newspaper with a scissors
- Remember to follow the line
- Get some skinny sticks and put it going down corner to corner
- put the skinny stick going side ways corner to corner
- Get a feather and cut it out and if you want you can color it
- Cut one,two or three skinny long pieces of paper and stick it to the bottom of the kite
- Get a piece of string and stick it under the stick going side ways.

Then we made a star and the star was cool.I made 4 origami stars.It was an awesome day.
On Friday it was Matariki assembly and me,Honey and Judah had to stand up on stage to show our kite we made.I was so scared.The kite was made out of sticks and we decorated it with shells because whaimehenoa has pretty shells she collects.
